Unitarian Universalist Minister

The call to ministry came early for me. I am a lifelong Unitarian Universalist and the child of a UU minister so I have been intimately acquainted with our faith for as long as I can remember. I have a distinct memory of sitting in my childhood church one day, when I was about 15, and feeling this pull from somewhere deep within me the way a magnet is drawn toward metal. That call has continued to pull me towards congregational ministry. Being a part of people's lives and spiritual journeys is a privilege and a blessing.
This photo is from my ordination at Church of the River in March of 2021. This was the culmination of three years of graduate education at Harvard Divinity School, one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education and a ministerial internship (at Church of the River).
I love Unitarian Universalism with all my heart, and I have been absorbed in it, in one way or another, nearly all my life.
I am seeking ministry now out of love for my son, Calvin, and care for the kind of world in which he might grow up. My husband Kyle and I have lived in Shreveport, Louisiana for the last few years due to his service in the Air Force. During this time I have served in the ministries that were geographically available to me and made the three hour commute back and forth to the Dallas area to serve there as an interim minister.
My husband and I are looking for a place where we can put down roots and settle into a community with our son, so the most desirable congregations for me will be those with potential for a long and healthy shared ministry.
